AB531: A Bill for California Military Veterans

My latest Bill I have introduced is AB531. If passed, it would allow California military veterans to apply for a driver’s license that identifies them as a veteran.

From the press release at dailynation.com by Heather Ah San:

FAIRFIELD — Assemblyman Jim Frazier, D-Oakley, introduced Assembly Bill 531 Wednesday, which is passed would allow California military veterans to apply for a driver’s license that identifies them as a veteran.

The objective of the bill is to allow veterans to quickly and easily identify themselves and access their services and benefits using a driver’s license, without having to carry around official discharge papers.

“We have 1.8 million veterans in California, and I feel honored and privileged to author this bill to recognize their service and to provide an easier form of identification for them to access benefits.” Frazier said in a press release.
